Bouncebacks & Breakouts
Even in a 162 game season a player can get unlucky all year long, leading to a stat line well below his normal level of performance that gets people questioning his future production. Usually there are signs of that bad luck though, such as a hitter with an abnormally low batting average on balls in play or a pitcher who’s ERA has ballooned even though his other numbers have stayed the same.
Here we’ll try to identify the players who are due for a return to their previous performance or young players who are on the verge of putting it all together and taking their performance to the next level.
